Nice Area for Trip Yamazaki, Kyoto

Hi there. Yesterday I wrote about "Chochikukyo". It is situated at Yamazaki area. Yamazaki station takes about 20 minutes from Kyoto station by train (JR Kyoto line).
Yamazaki has three nice places. "Chochikukyo", Asahi Beer Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art, and Suntory Yamazaki Distillery. Last May 2016, I visited these three places.
Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art is originally a Japanese businessman Shotaro Kaga's villa. It has a good design and fancy facility which are set about with beautiful mountains. This picture is the splendid perspective from the balcony.
This museum added a new facility called "Underground Jewelry Box annex." It is designed by a worldwide architect Tadao Ando.
There are free shuttle buses at Yamazaki station to the Museum. You should use them because the museum is in the middle of the mountain.

Anyway, if you love whisky, you should also visit Suntory Yamazaki Distillery. And let's make a reservation. You can do an observe inside of the distillery. When I visited Yamazaki last 2016, I couldn't make a reservation. Because from 2014 to 2015, a drama "Massan" was broadcasted which story was based on Masataka Taketsuru's life. Masataka was the earliest ancestor of Suntory and the founder of Nikka Whisky Distilling. "Massan" became national obsession. So numerous people rushed to Suntory Yamazaki Distillery.
Although I haven't observed the distillery inside, I still enjoyed drinking unmixed whisky. It's a special experience that we can have in the distillery. Please see the picture above. Each of them cost 300 Yen. (About 3 American dollars)

These are my reasons for the recommendation. But I have only one important reminder. There are only a few restaurants in Yamazaki area.
How about Restaurant Tagami? My friend recommended it.
